THEIR GOAL IS PRETTY SIMPLE - PUT ON THE MOST UNFORGETTABLE, ENERGETIC, AND FUN SHOW THAT THEY CAN EVERY SINGLE TIME... AND TO ROCK YOUR FACE.
The Smokin’ Crows are a dirty blues-rock band originating in Binghamton, NY. The band’s influences range from North Mississippi Hill Country blues musicians to The Allman Brothers, Clutch, The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin and many others. The band members’ wide ranging and unique influences can be heard throughout The Smokin’ Crows original tunes. To classify them into one genre of music would be an injustice. Originals like Black Water Hurricane and Blackjack, Craps and Bones fall in to the Hill Country and dirty blues genre, whereas songs like Rust Belt Highway and The Shadow and The Crow are jam rock influenced, meanwhile, songs like 21 Guns, Poker with the Devil, and Still Reminds Me are rock influenced. A combination of originals and “Crowified” cover tunes is what gives The Smokin’ Crows their unique sound. Their “Crowificaton” of songs such as Sympathy for the Devil, Little Red Rooster, King Bee and Black Betty are truly unique and will change your view on how covers can be played.
